Tutorial to learn Android
Nokia's simbian devices had been of tremendous help to the visually challenged persons which supported talking software like Talks and Mobile Speak. But after the anouncement by Nokia to stop manufacturing simbian phones, it raised a question for the visually challenged persons as they were left with switching to touch phones. It was difficult for the users to switch from regular 3x3 and QWERTY keypad to touch phone because this technology is very different from the earlier phones. To help the users understand Android technology I have recorded a Podcast which can be downloaded from the link given below in 2 parts:
GPS with Nokia Maps
GPS technology has proved to be very helpful for visually challenged people. After lodestone the second accessible application for Nokia Symbian devices was Nokia maps. This software has voice guidance feature which is of great help to the visually challenged people. But for new users to understand this application could be difficult. So if they get help about the software before using it, it would be a lot easier for them. Keeping all this in mind I have made a recording on this which is shared on this link.

To avoid this misuse, HDFC bank gives the facility to create a virtual credit card in which the original credit card number and other information is not revealed. For each transaction a new temporary credit card is created. This recording will help you to understand how to create the temporary virtual credit card.
Installation of ESpeak and using it with Jaws and NVDA
With the support of many languages E-Speak has become a light and a preferred speech engine for the visually challenged. For people living in India it is of more importance because it supports a lot of languages for which TTS is still not available. Therefore this is the only option left for those working on different Indian languages. In this recording I have discussed about how to install and configure E-Speak with Jaws and NVDA screen readers.
